10th Grade Exhibition
This exhibition, I’m most proud of my vignettes. I was in two different skits, but I think somehow I did even better in the one I was dropped into the day before exhibition than the one I had been working on during the whole process. I think it may have something to do with the writing or directing of the play, or maybe I just liked it more, but I was just more focused on the second one knowing I had two days to finish it up.
If we could do another run through of these projects and exhibition, I’d like to be able to redo my art piece. I think I fell short with my artwork, and didn’t put in enough effort until the last few days of work time when it was already too late. I also didn’t stay around my art to talk about it as much, and I think that if I did better I would feel more proud of my work and could have lots more to say about it when people passed by.
I wasn’t in a group for the art or math portions of the exhibition, so there wasn’t much for me to do in terms of group cooperation. However, I was in two groups for humanities, and I did contribute to both. In my original group, I rewrote and revised a large portion of the play, and reworked the ending to make more sense and to have a nicer conclusion in the end. In my other group, there wasn’t much I could do because the play had already been written and finished.
During the next exhibitions, I hope to keep in mind just focusing and doing my work. I think part of the problem I had during this exhibition especially during art was that I didn’t focus enough on my work to get it finished nicely. I had to rush at the end instead of being able to work well on it the whole time.
In this exhibition, I think I used the Habit of Heart Self Advocacy a lot. I was able to stay very focused during this part of the project and do well. I also was open to the opportunity of being in two plays, and took on the second role even with only a few days before exhibition night. In math, I was having many problems with my Starlogo Nova game project, but I was able to work through them both by talking with Dr. Drew and not giving up through the process of fixing the errors I was encountering.
